Have them hook your car up to a machine that will give you all the possiblities and start will the cheapest and work your way up until your light stops coming on...if he is agood mechanic he will tell you what I just did..that is how my mechanic does with me and he keeps my car running great(as long as I listen to him)...lol
Why you had replaced the air mass sensor? the light was on before the replacement the light is one you have a malfunction on your engine or maybe the fault for the air mass sensor is stored on engine control unit. The best is check the engine with the StarDiagnisis on dealer Mercedes
14.50 dollars at the dealer
12 means that the battery was recently disconnected or lost voltage. 22 means that Engine Coolant Sensor is out of normal range (replace the coolant sensor).
The sensor is the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, located under the EGR, on the side of the engine between the engine and the battery. Brass sensors can be bought at the dealer.
I paid $229.00 at a Nissan dealer
take it to a dealer
tell me how to replace my engine temp sensor
The coolant temperature sensor can be found on the front of the engine, near the thermostat. Remove the coolant temperature sensor retaining nut, to replace it.
its located under the reserve tank...and if that is not working and you are for sure the you will have to replace the whole tank by dealer or maybe find on-line somewhere!
replace the bad sensor and it will turn off.
You need a engine scanner and hook it up and it will tell you what sensor is bad.
Yes, replace the sensor and have the dash light reset.
