brain box had a short. removed and car runs great. nothing went through it anymore anyways.
ignition module problem
The ignition switch could be bad if a Hyundai Elantra has no crank and then starts. The fuses which are tied to the ignition should also be checked.
Check the ignition module. They can fail when hot
Car had a faulty immobilizer that caused the problem.
I am not sure of the entire problem whether it starts all the time and stalls occasionally or does it shut off as if you just turned the key off? If it is the latter, check the ignition module near the distributor. If it is running try tapping the module and if it stops, that may be your problem.
Transmission Problem Battery Problem Ignition Problem
3 possibilities, camshaft sensor, ignition module, sparkplugs
Had the same problem and it was the computer chip in the ignition key
either a fuel flo problem or trouble in the ignition module some engine modules have a thin layer of grease or lube that needs to be refresehed if the engine has ever run too warm chk air filter too
have your ignition control module tested.(heat test) sometimes when the ignition control module goes bad , no starting/hard starting when vehicle is hot is a common symptom.follow up questionwhich is more likely the ignition control module or crank shaft rotation sensor and why?
For a remote auto starter to work, a person must first press his/her keyless control. This sends a radio signal to the module located within the car. The module activates the ignition. After the ignition is activated, the car starts up without the person having to do it manually.
I experienced this same problem before too. The security system could be the problem. The imobaliser shuts of the car if it thinks there is a problem with the ignition(if it was hotwired).
