A pharaoh has full power over his kingdom, with the only thing in his way is his people's wills. The president's orders can be overridden by other parts of the government because the law states that people have the freedom of SPEECH!

Pharaohs decided politics, economy, military action, and even artistic canons. The president is elected, must account to the Chamber and Senate, the mandate lasts only 4 years and exists, as in all advanced democracies, other powers that balance that of the president. So in summary, two people worthy of being president were chosen and voted by the people, while in ancient Egypt elite people just chose a pharaoh based on who was brightest and best.

A pharaoh has a part to take care of and so does a president. They both sorta make laws like in King Tut's time they had the code of Hammurabi, and presidents make laws by going to the state house to make the laws and agree on them. But a president doesn't carve the laws into stone they type them on a board and decide.
