Radiation is the main transfer made. Conduction across an air space is poor. While convection will take heat up the chimney , instead of in to the room because heat is less dense and it will go up. They are all a way of transferring heat and energy.
Conduction is when you move energy from one object to another object it is touching. Convection puts steam above a hot cup of coffee. Radiation is why you do not stay out in the sun for too long
Convection - transfer of thermal energy by movement of molecules in FLUID
Conduction - " " molecules colliding through MATTER (SOLID)
Radiation - Thermal energy transferred through a VACUUM by electromagnetic waves. (light, gamma waves, microwaves, etc.)
Conduction: When hot stuff touches cold stuff, the hot thing gets colder and the cold thing gets hotter
Convection: When hot stuff migrates in a specific direction (water currents, air currents)
Radiation: Heat transfer from light. Like a fire or the sun.
It realy depends on the temperature and the amount of heat, however, because conduction is direct contact, it transfers thermal energy more efficiantly and therefore at the same temperature, conduction will likely melt the ice cube more quickly.
convection is faster
Those are three methods to transfer heat.
i dont get it
Salt water will melt an ice cube faster.
In most cases an equal volume of juice will melt faster than an equal volume of ice
I think it will melt faster in soda, cause of the chemicals it has more than juice.
It absorbs more light
grown sugar dissolves faster than a cube because grow sugar has more surface area
The answer depends on where the ice cube is in relation to the stove: it could be conduction, convection or radiation.
One is the temperature of the water could be warmerSecondly when an ice cube is in water, conduction takes place. The kinetic energy of the water particles more time.moves to the ice causing it to melt. When in air radiation or convection must take place which will take

yes it is.. because it is.. hahahahahaha=D
The three most common types of heat transfer are convection, radiation, and conduction. Conduction ---> (a teaspoon dipped in hot water) Convection ---> (a pot of boiling water) Radiation ---> (how the sun's heat reaches the Earth's surface)
conduction
It flows, by conduction, from your hand to the ice cube.
No, an ice cube doesn't melt faster in soil.
An ice cube melts faster in salt water.
Ice cube requires heat to melt.Water conducts heat well. Therefore the temperature of the environment is absorbed by the water and the some of the distributed heat is taken by the cube and it melts.Air is an insulator. The only way heat from surroundings can go to the ice cube INSIDE the water bottle is by convection of air currents. But the convection is restricted to some extent by the almost closed water bottle, which has high(compared to cube size) plastic walls (plastic: heat insulator) on all sides and a narrow mouth. Therefore the convection and thus passing of heat to cube from surroundings is slow and this makes the ice melt slower in the empty water bottle.
An ice cube will melt faster in hot water.
Salt water will melt an ice cube faster.
