a neutron's location in an atom is in the core, or nucleus, of that atom, this nucleus is made of both neutrons and protons. the electrons of an atom are located in the electron cloud that surrounds the nucleus. to picture this, imagine a Baseball field. the pitchers mat is the nucleus, and all the remaining area of the field, including the bleachers, is the electron cloud. everyone in that field, when spread out evenly among the field, are the electrons.

The nucleus has protons and neutrons. Electrons are located outside of the nucleus. Protons have a positive charge, electrons have a negative charge, and neutrons have no charge. Neutrons and Protons have approximately the same mass that is 1840 times that of an electron.

  • Protons and Neutrons are in the middle of the atom whereas electrons rotate around them or outside of the atom.
  • Protons are positively charged. Electrons are negatively charged. Neutrons are neutrally charged.
  • Protons and neutrons are in even amounts of elements.
  • Protons and neutrons weigh about the same whereas electrons weigh about 1/1800 of a proton.

The masses of protons and neutrons are almost exactly the same, neutrons having slightly greater mass. Electrons are much lighter, having about 1/1830 the amount of mass as the other two. That's why most of the mass of an atom is in the nucleus, because that's where the protons and neutrons are.

Protons and neutrons are located in the nucleus of an atom and are responsibility for the vast majority of an atom's mass. The neutron has a slightly higher mass than the proton. The protons have a positive charge and the neutrons have no charge. The electrons are located in energy levels in an electron cloud surrounding the atomic nucleus. Electrons are negatively charged and have very little mass, only 1/1836 that of the proton.

The mass of the proton and the neutron are about the same, and about 2000 times greater than the mass of an electron. The mass of an electron is generally ignored because it is so small. The charge of a proton is positive, the electron is negative and the neutron has no charge. The protons and neutrons are located in the nucleus of the atom, and the electrons are found outside the nucleus.

What kinds of electrical charges do protons electrons and neutrons?

Protons are positive.Electrons are negative.Neutrons are neutral.

How do electrical charges behave?

Electric charges behave as a matter and it contains three building blocks of matter, they are :electrons, protons and neutrons of which two are electrically charge

Neutrons have a balance of positive and negative electrical charges?

No, neutrons does not have any sort of electrical charge. They have neither positive nor negative charges.

Why are their neutrons if they don't do anything?

protons and electrons are attracted to each other and act as magnets when close but if they touch it is cattastrofic for the atom. neutrons are neutral and sit in the middle of the protons and electrons to stop their electric charges from touching each other. electrons have no electrical charge.

What are the names and charges of the 3 fundamental particles?

An atom is formed from:- protons with a positive electrical charge- neutrons which is neutral- electrons with a negative electrical chargeOnly the electron is a fundamental particle.

Charges for protons neutrons and electrons for copper?

the protons have a +1 charge, the neutrons zero charge and the electrons -1 charge

What is the charges for protons neutrons and electrons?

Protons are positive, Neutrons have no charge elections are negative

Why neutrons are present in an atom?

Protons have a positive charge, Electrons have a negative charge, and Neutrons have a neutral charge. Neutrons help to ground the charges of protons and electrons.

What is the electric charge of neutrons?

Neutrons are neutral, they do not have any charges on protons and electrons do.

What kind of electrical do protons electrical charges and neutrons have?

Protons have a positive charge, neutrons have no charge, and electrons have negative charge.Neutrons do not carry an electrical charge:)A proton has a positive charge. Remember, NEUTRon = NEUTRal. Proton = Positive. The electrical charge of a proton is 1.6x10^-19 which is equal and opposite to the electrical charge of an electron which is -1.6x10^-19.

What are the types of electrical charges?

there are basically 3 types of electrical charges VIZ,Electrons,Protons,NutronsAnswerThere are two types of electric charge: a negativecharge, and a positive charge.Electrons are negatively charged, and protons are positively charged. Neutrons (not 'nutrons'!) do not carry any charge -they are 'neutral'!
