Anywhere from a couple hundred dollars for a driving uniform and a helmet to drive the car you have in a "run what ya brung" race at a local drag strip, to many millions to set up an operation like Schumacher or Force have.

to build and run it would be around 200,000- on it all depends on your motor, how fast you want it to go and everything....

200,000 for the car alone maybe. but after all is said and done,it will cost 1.5-2 million a year. that's adding up fuel, witch it takes 3-4 gallons of nearly pure nitro. a trailer, tools, replacement parts, vehicle to tow the 35-50 foot trailer, gasoline, crew members, hotel cost for the crew member, and a whole lot more. but the power of a top fuel nearly destroys the engine before it crosses the finish line. 8000 HP will do that to any engine. also safety equipment is expensive, my Hans device(used bye nascar, F1, and top fuel drivers) cost $700.00. you also need a helmet wich can range anywhere from $500-$1,000.

The cost really varies because we payed 8.5k for my jr dragster and we have to buy gas and any extra parts.
