No all cells do not go through meiosis. Meiosis is only the cell division of sex cells like sperm and egg. Regular cells (non sex cells) go through mitosis. The two are very similar but very different proccesses.

No, not all living thing need meiosis such as paramecia a.k.a unicellular but almost all living things are products of meiosis since meiosis occurs during sexual reproduction.

In fact, they do not. Only germ cells, or non-somatic cells, undergo meisis. Calling them germ cells is just a fancy way of saying that they are sex cells.

yes because meiosis only produces gametes. an organism that doesn't produce gametes will simply not be able to produce an offspring.
