You can get an infection, but it would be staph. If you think you have an infection phone your dentist's office and they can prescribe antibiotics. If you are a woman and hate the idea of taking antibiotics because of yeast infections here's a trick: Get cultured yogurt and get a either fresh fruit or tinned peaches or Pears and put it on top if you really don't like plain yogurt. The yogurt will settle the tummy (antibiotics can cause nausea) and also balance your PH level so you won't feel so rotten.
