Yes it is possible to connect a wired 360 controller or buy a wireless gaming receiver in order to connect a wireless 360 controller. You will then need to install game drivers or hope to receive adequate firmware from plug and play (which is possible).

Wrong! i use mine all the time. it can be a wireless or wired but for wireless you need a certain device from Microsoft (sorry cant remember name) but wired you just plug it in and get a program called Xpadder, Google around for it. From Microsoft themself.

Yes, but some old Xbox buttons are moved (White and Black are now the Left and Right Bumpers). Also you can't use the controller on a normal Xbox unless you modify it.
