Not to be funny, but are you sure the foot parking brake is disengaged before you you try to move the mower?
sounds as if your pulley is locked up.,Frozen,,One or more of your pulleys are seized up

It means that there is something wrong with the engine and not the battery
Your clutch needs adjusted or replaced.
loose blade, bent crankshaft.... remove sparkplug cap so mower won't start & spin blade at moderate speed with hand & if it stays level around whole mower deck the crank is not bent. youtube user (davidsfarm) would likely know whats wrong. the piston rod might be loose.
when I try to engage gears of mower blades, the engine dies under the load. Read wheels also lock when fowrad and rear gears are engaged.
If the 1984 Honda Accord engine dies when put in gear then it could be due to some faulty wiring.
check the idle speed motor
