Need is something that is essential for your living. Want is something you dont need
if you want something you do not need it to live if you need something you use it to live like you need oxygen but you do not need to play a video game.
It is all a matter of desire, a comparison between what I have and what I would like to have. A 'need' is a basic desire and a 'want' is sometimes a dream or something beyond our current mental, physical or financial capabilities. For example, 'I need a roof over my head' but what I want is 'a palace'.
A need is something that is necessary i.e. food, waterA want is something that you desire but is not necessary i.e. a fast car, fancy clothes.A demand is a request for a need or want to be fulfilled i.e. a baby demands food so the parent gives it to them.
Need= air, water, shelter, clothing(clothing is questionable depending where you live) and food. Without it you will die. Want= Television, radio,Nintendo. You will not die if you do not have these items.
A want is something you could do with. A need is something you cannot do without.
