A lever that turns
a helical groove in a cylindrical hole (female thread), formed by a tap or lathe tool, or a helical ridge on a cylindrical bar, rod, shank, etc
The three types of levers are the 1st class, the 2nd class, and the 3rd class
A rigid bar that pivots about one point and that is used to move an object at a second point by a force applied at a third.
To pull the thread back up out of the cloth after the hook inside the machine has passed through the loop created as the needle passes through the cloth.
sometimes
False.
The thread moves from the spool through the needle to make stitches on a sewing machine. The thread take-up lever is what feeds the thread from the spool to the needle as it moves up and down.
it takes the thread up and down so you can keep sewing
The take up lever is used in threading the sewing machine and to keep the thread tension at the proper level. If the take up lever is threaded improperly, the thread will knot up and jam in the machine.
class one lever is a seesaw
the definition of the word thread isa fine cord made of fiberstwisted together, used in needelwork and weaving cloth.
Load = the force of the weight of the lever fulcrum = the point of which the lever rests effort = the force you apply to the lever

A lever jaw wrench is one with an adjustable jaw.
Thread guides lead the thread in this order: Thread Spool to Tension Discs to Take-Up Lever to Needle. A machine is threaded with the take-up lever in its highest position and the presser bar lifted. Generally, the thread guides provide a path that keeps the thread from crossing over itself. From the spool, any thread guides mounted on the top cover are first, back to front. On the face plate (front of machine) any thread guides that sit to the right of the tension discs are threaded before inserting thread around & between the discs. If there be any thread guide that is BOTH to the left of the tension discs AND right of the take up lever, the thread would go there next. My fairly typical Japanese Zigzag Machine does not have a thread guide between the tension discs and the take-up lever, but if there were one, I would call it the "Tension to Take-Up Lever Thread Guide." From there the thread passes right-to left through the hole of the take up lever, and then down through all thread guides mounted to the left of the take-up lever. Lastly, the thread goes down through a needle clamp thread guide and through the eye of the needle. Not a short answer, but I hope it addresses your question.
