Describe a formula 1 racing car?

A modern Formula One car is a single-seat, open cockpit, open wheel race car with substantial front and rear wings, and engine positioned behind the driver. The regulations governing the cars are unique to the championship. The Formula One regulations specify that cars must be constructed by the racing teams themselves. The F1 racing car is similar to our road car in many aspects. It contains most of the parts that we can see in our road cars. The main difference being, the car is designed for optimum speed & performance.
