In a liquid the surface tension cause the liquid to act as if a thin film were stretched across its surface. For example, surface tension allows the spider to float on water as if the water had a thin film.right but not for this question. in a liquid, the particles are not in formation like in a solid, and they can move about. However they can't leave the container until they are heated to become a gas.

ON a Moleculecular level the Molecules of a Liquid are arranged,or ordered somewhere between the randomness of a gas.The particles comprising a solid occur in ordered fashion, producing a characteristic three-dimensional configuration that is present throughout the entire structure. The forces between Particles in a Solid are strong, holding the Particles in a rigid form.A Solid is therefore noncompressible and cannot flow to take the shape of it's container.

Particles in a liquid are free-flowing. They move past each other with ease because their bonds don't hold them tight together as in a solid. However, their bonds are strong enough to keep them together enough so they don't wander about like the particles of a gas.

they are spacely packed, hence the liquid flows

Particles in a liquid are close together with no regular arrangement.

Particles in a liquid vibrate, move about, and slide past each other.

They aren't exactly arranged.Cause they need more space to move and they move a little faster than the solid.
