Cross contamination when you cook using unwashed spoons and when you use a knife or chopping board on meat and then transfer it onto non-pultry items!

also you may cut yourself using a knife and keep the handles that are on the hob inwards so little children don't push the pands over! Also, by not labelling and dating foodstuffs in the fridge/freezer. If out of date foods are cooked and served it causes infection. Eg: eggs, which contain salmonella. This is my answer for my course anyway. Hope this helps.

1) usually someone will sweep up broken glass which is unsafe because it can get caught in the broom hairs.

2) sometimes you might wash the knives with the silver ware and you can end up stabbing yourself.

3) when you don't where aprons and your wearing something loose that could light on fire

4) sometimes someone may open the lid of a pan with a lot of smoke in it towards them and can get a first degree burn because of that.

5) sometimes someone will turn a loose screw with a knife and end up getting hurt

6) loose/broken/frayed electrical cords which can start fires

7) messy outlets (etc. 4 or more cord pluged in one outlet that is meant 4 only two.) can also start a fire in the kitchen

8) hot oil/grease splattering can cause severe burns.

9) raw meat or food that is not taking care of properly is also considered as a hazard in the kitchen

10) mold is also a high risk hazard because of the food poisoning it can cause

11) having children in a kitchen is also very hazardous because they are generallly curious about a lot of things they see and could easily tip something over or cause a fire
