∙ 11y agoWhen the tire bursts, it is important to hold the steering wheel steady as you gently brake to slow down. Pull off to the side of the road, or into a parking lot to change the tire. If the flat is on the driver's side this is especially important. Put on your emergency hazard lights to alert drivers coming up to your car.
If you have a loved one who drives lots, buy them 'tire insurance' so they don't have to do it themselves. =My wife can call for free, professional help with a flat from any company in our area, and it only cost me $26 on my annual policy.
