Yes they did, I own 1 myself.
Transmissions
For the S10 and 1500, the manual was the NV3500 and the automatic was the 4L60E. For the 2500 and 3500, the manual was the NV4500 and the auto was the 4L80E. For their medium- and heavy duty trucks, manual transmissions from Eaton Fuller and Rockwell were available, while automatic transmissions from Allison were available.
YES.
No it will not, There is not enough room for it to fit. A car transmission is alot smaller then a truck transmission.
Due to the computer system on the 95 truck, the 4L60E is the ONLY transmission that can be installed in that year. There are other transmissions that will bolt up but the engine will not run right and the transmissions will NOT shift.
The 88 year transmission will not work in the 99 because of the computer in the 99. You need a 4L60E from the year 1993 to 1995 and then it goes to 1998 to 1999. 1996 and 1997 transmissions will not work. Now if your 99 is the NEW BODY DESIGN truck then you can use these year 4L60E transmissions. From LATE MONTH 1999 to 2006 will work.
That would be the 4L60E
From truck to truck, yeah, they are the same.
You can find a diagram for replacing the air conditioning compressor on your 1994 Chevy 1500 pickup truck in a Chevy service manual. Many auto-parts stores will supply the diagram when you purchase the air conditioning compressor.
Yes those 2 years are the same. Direct bolt in.
What is the refrigerant capacity in a 1996 Chevy 1500 4.3
The automatic is a 46RE. The manual is a NV3500.
