When Queen Isabella and her husband, the king, finally did let Christopher Columbus go on the voyage, Christopher Columbus promised spices and jewels from "India" to assure the Queen and the King to not object him of his voyage to "India."
He was looking for spices and gold because he ask the King and Queen for money,the King and Queen in return asked him to bring back spices and gold for them to sell because the Queen and King Columbus all their money
he never traveled to Columbus!

Who? Christopher Columbus? He was not the first to dicover America. Much earlier examples include the Native Americans and Leif Erikson, a viking who discovered America long before Colombus. Christopher Columbus just brought Europeans to America. He 'rediscovered' America, per se. He deserves credit for bring colonists to America, not discovering it.
Christopher Columbus sailed to America hoping for India. he took things from the native people without trade. he went to Africa and got people to bring back to England
