Christopher Columbus was born not rich but not poor, he later became rich after his voyages but lost his job and became poor, I wouldn't say poor though, just not rich. He may not of die with all the riches sure as gold and so but he did die rich with his intelligent because he truly did rediscover many Caribbean countries. Hence the reason you may leave or someone can rub you of your money but one can never rub you of your knowledge. After Christopher Columbus came to the Americas and took Indian slaves back to Spain, I imagine he got I little higher up into the (kind of) wealthy range, b/c Queen Isabella and King Ferdinand sent him back. But after the second voyage, he became overly greedy and lost everything.
Yes, his family were Spanish nobility. Historians now believe he took on the persona of an Italian sailor because he needed the backing of the Spanish crown, but his family were rivals of the crown.

Nothing is the answer to the riddle. A rich man needs nothing; a poor man has nothing, and if you eat nothing, you will die.
You are born with NOTHING. You take NOTHING with you when you die. A poor man has NOTHING. A rich man wants NOTHING. If you eat NOTHING you will die.
The term poor is relative. As much as some people are called poor they usually have something which the rich usually look up to.
