Did Elvis Presley own a home in Oahu?
No. Elvis usually stayed at the Hawaiian Hilton when on vacation on the main island however when he first came to Hawaii to film Blue Hawaii in 1961 he stayed at the CoCo Plams in Kauai where most of the film was made also. Bungalow 54. He returned there on several vacations througout the next years even after he and Priscilla were married. Now as for Oahu when he visited there he rented a private house in the mountains and did so in Kauai a few times also. Elvis probably visited Hawaii twenty times not including his filmings there and in his later years 1972 thru 1977 after doing the Aloha from Hawaii special in Honolulu he always stay at the Hawaiian Hilton.

He was known as the king of rock and roll because he invented the style of music. Well, I'm not sure I'd use the word "Invented" here. Elvis Presley was a famous and very popular singer from the mid 50s until the era of the Beatles, and then in the latter 60s he made a bit of a comeback. He died i…n 1977 of a drug overdose/heart attack. Presley was one of the first white singers to sing in what was called 'colored' style, or "race music", as they called it back then - in other words, he sounded black when he sang. He was from Tupelo, Mississippi, and was no doubt influenced by black jazz, rhythm & blues, and gospel music of his day. He became a huge star and had, or I should say, still has, a huge, fanatical following all over the world. He made a dozen or so movies in the early 60s that also helped him become a movie star as well. He was 'managed', if not completely controlled, by a publicity agent/manager named "Colonel Parker". Parker managed nearly every facet of Presley's public life - even down to selecting the songs he would record. One unique thing about Presley is that he never wrote any songs or music himself - he always sang other people's songs. The era of the Beatles and the British Invasion had a chilling effect on his career - and he was often publicly derogatory about the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, and other groups he blamed for his 'fall-off'. He did make a bit of a comeback after a TV special in 1968 but the magic had gone - plus, his original fans were now 15 years older than they were when he first came out. In his later years, he became a bit of recluse, gaining a lot of weight and suffering from depression and bouts of drug and pain-killer dependency. He died in 1977 in his Memphis mansion, Graceland. Elvis Presley was introduced to 14 year old Priscilla Beaulieu by US Airman Currie Grant at a party in Germany .
No he didn't. He was never even nominated. But he did manage to get a Golden Globe for "Elvis on Tour" in 1973 in the category Best Documentary film
No he was not. Elvis loved Priscilla but prior to his marriage to her he lived a wild lifestyle and loved the company of women. It has been said he was reluctant to get married, because he had no interest in changing that lifestyle. He married Priscilla, and continued almost living the life of a b…achelor. He almost always had affairs with leading ladies on the movie sets, but that was just a drop in the bucket. He had a serious affair/relationship with Ann Margaret while in a serious relationship with Priscilla. In fact it is said that he struggled to chose between them, as both wanted to get married. Elvis was in love with Ann but his deep attachment was to Priscilla. According to all who knew Elvis he loved Priscilla very much. It is a myth that he was somehow forced to marry her. The fact is he was given an ultimatum from Colonel Parker, to "marry her or not" because the Col. felt he had dragged his feet in their relationship long enough and that it didn't look good to his image. It's likely that Priscilla's parents were reaching the point of wanting to issue an ultimatum as well. But Elvis was not pressured to marry her, he was simply pressured to make a decision. Like any man who thoroughly enjoys being single, Elvis would have much preferred to remain single. But he was not willing to choose a life without Priscilla. Here is a very intimate and special moment captured in time, in Priscilla's words: "I was surprised he was holding up so well, considering how nervous he'd been about this ultimate commitment... He carried me across the threshold of our house singing "The Hawaiian Wedding Song". He stopped and gave me a long, loving kiss, then proceeded to carry me up the stairs to our bedroom, the whole crowd teasing. It was still daylight and the sun shone brightly through our bedroom windows as Elvis carefully placed me in the middle of our king-size bed. I don't think he really knew what to do with me. After all, Elvis had protected me and saved me for so long. He was now understandably hesitant about fulfilling all his promises about how very good this moment was going to be. Looking back, I have to laugh when I remember how nervous we both were. One would have thought it was the first time we had ever been together under intimate circumstances. Gently his lips touched mine. Then he looked deeply into my eyes. "My wife," he said softly, as he drew me close. "I love you Cilla". The intensity of emotion I was experiencing was electrifying. The desire and lust that had built up in me throughout the years exploded in a frenzy of passion. Could he have known how it would be for me? I'll never know. But I do know that as I went from child to woman, the long, romantic, yet frustrating adventure that Elvis and I had shared all seemed worthwhile." During their marriage Priscilla knew that Elvis was not faithful to her, and Elvis was often gone for long periods of time. After she had Lisa Marie she was even more sensitive to his long absences and his affairs, which hurt her very deeply. She requested to join him on movie sets and she spent time in L.A. during the shooting of some of his films, however Elvis didn't prefer it. They had other problems in their marriage, but ultimately it was the affairs and his absence that caused them to grow apart and eventually divorce. According to her, and others, they remained close after divorce, they would still hold hands and sit close together when together. Priscilla has said it was like they never really divorced. While Elvis was crushed that Priscilla left him, and the loss of his family devastated him, he made no promises to change in any way, and Priscilla had no reason to believe he ever would. Priscilla hints in her book that if he had made such promises to change his ways, she would have stayed. In a phone conversation toward the end of 1976 or early 1977, according to Priscilla, they discussed the possibility of getting back together: Priscilla "Do you think you can really live with one woman?" Elvis "Yes, now more than ever. I know I've done some stupid things, but the stupidest was not realizing what I had until I lost it." Priscilla "Maybe it was just too early in life for us. Maybe one day there will be a time for us." ( Full Answer )

NO she certainly was not in his will, he dispised so many things she did to him that there was no way he would leave her anything. Don't know where you got your information, but yes Priscilla was in Elvis's will. As a matter of fact she also was executor of his will after his father Vernon. P…eople shouldn't post if they don't know what they are talking about. I am an Elvis fan, but it was Elvis that was not a good and faithful husband to Priscilla. Although she was his one true love, he is the one that messed it up. Priscilla is also the one that made his estate worth more than he was when he was alive. She opened Graceland for tours and marketed Elvis products. His estate was left to his daughter Lisa, and at his death was only worth about 5 million. Priscilla made her daughter a multi millionaire after Elvis's death when she took control of the estate on behalf of her daughter. ( Full Answer )
Elvis Presley was grossly overweight, which caused a severe strain on his heart. In 1994 - 17 years after his death; Coroner Dr. Joseph Davis declared, "There is nothing in any of the data that supports a death from drugs. In fact, everything points to a sudden, violent heart attack." There is l…ittle doubt that polypharmacy (14 drugs - 10 in significant quantities) contributed significantly to Presley's death at age 42, on August 16, 1977. Elvis's physician, Dr. Nichopoulos, wrote more than 10,000 doses of sedatives, amphetamines and narcotics: all in Elvis's name in the first eight months of 1977 alone. ( Full Answer )

Yes and no. If you mean did he use cocaine or heroin or street drugs, the answer is no. He did drink sometimes, but his problems started when he became addicted to prescription drugs. Sadly, he had an unscrupulous doctor who kept giving him more and more pills; he was soon using a variety of addic…tive substances, including amphetamines, painkillers, and sleeping pills, far in excess of any safe dosage. This contributed to his death when he was only forty-two. ( Full Answer )

Micheal Jackson was King of Pop. Elvis Presley was THE KING; he was rock 'n' roll (rock and pop came later).
He ventured into a music genre dominated by blacks, and became the best at doing something people like him didn't usually do. That and a bad boy attitude as well as being quite handsome only helped his popularity.
Elvis did a lot of charity work , gave to st jude and Arizona memorial . He had a concert to help build it. Aloha from Hawaii was held for a cancer fund. That is just a few.
YES. Elvis became a Father, exactly nine months after his wedding to Priscilla, when his daughter Lisa Marie Presley was born on February 1, 1968.
YES. Elvis had signed the highest (monetary) contract to appear live in Las Vegas and to tour throughout the United States. There was a huge demand as Elvis had been contractually obligated from 1960 until 1968 to star in motion pictures (i.e. movies) and Elvis' 1968 Singer TV Special was a huge s…uccess. Elvis appeared in a square shaped stage in the middle of a live audience dressed in black leather and did what he did best...sang from the heart and the audience bore witness to one of the greatest performances of all time. Also, the quality of the songs Elvis was offered were excellence as opposed to the (many times) "movie songs" that Elvis recorded for his movie roles. Elvis looked great - he was happy (i.e. his daughter was born on February 1 1968) - he surrounded himself with great musicians/backup singers/etc. - and he was excited. 1969 was one of the greatest years of Elvis' life and his popularity reflected these facts. Because as John Lennon stated "without Elvis there would be nothing." He was the breakthrough artist that almalgamated a variety of music genres and paved the way for all other artists to follow. He only lived until he was 42 (died 1977) but continues to outsell most living artists. Elvis is king.
Elvis was born in Tupelo Mississippi. He moved to Graceland in Memphis Tennessee. He made the movie Blue Hawaii and the occasional TV show in the 50th state.

Yes, Elvis was arrested only once that is among the "public record". Elvis Presley was arrested in the mid-1950s for a speeding violation whereby he was cited for doing over 70 mph en route to a performance. Scotty Moore and Bill Black were resting while Elvis was driving until the sounds of Elvis …speaking with the Police Officer awakened them. Elvis tried to make light of the situation by saying "well, hopefully this will be the last time they catch me". As Scotty and Bill followed Elvis to the Police Station Elvis paid in cash the fee (approximately $24.00) and there was no further action required. This sole event "embarrassed" Elvis as he was always respectful of the law. ( Full Answer )
His private GP, Dr Nick. Who I believed murdered Elvis. He gave those drugs out to Elvis saying that they were fine and there going to help him get better. Though it ruined his health, Dr Nick also went on to write horrible things about Elvis that were probably not true and just in it for the public…ity and the money. Elvis' Doctor knew nothing about health or patient confidentiality. ( Full Answer )
Well, many believe and say he "faked" the death. But, everyone says it was a heart condition. However, a long term friends says it was chronic constipation, this was caused from a disease called "bowel paralysis" from too many drugs, which made it difficult to go to the bathroom. He use to have acci…dents on stage and would get embarrassed, I truly pity him, he represents an American figure and I think it is awful people say he died from drug overdose. Did you know he wouldn't let no one treat him because he thought it would make him look "weak". His doctor claimed he would have been here today if he would have accepted the treatment.
