Yes, Frankenstein does complete his monster, but he leaves the creature out to die since he was not an angel like he thought he would be! So, Frankenstein's monster goes after Frankenstein, his creator, and tries to kill him. But, in the end of the story, he kills himself!
It is never fully addressed whether Henry knows, but I don't think he does. He is killed by the monster later in the book. In Kenneth Brannagh's film adaptation, however, Henry is aware of Victor's motivation to create life, but Henry is unaware that Victor actually followed through with his creation of the monster :)
