yes - he was a success, he got rid of the English and got India independence.
This was a sucess in his mind.

I am not convinced that Gandhi was entirely happy with the immediate result of the independent states he was instrumental in creating, but looking at the long term I am not sure that this measure of success is important. Gandhi in his life did more than this, he changed the way the whole world thinks and, given a free press, showed that non violent protest can effect real change. His legacy is to the world, not just India and Pakistan.

Gandhi faught for multiple rights other than freedom from Britain. These include rights for women, a united India, and removal of the Caste System. He accomplished gaining freedom for India, but failed to complete his task in the other fights.

∙ 14y agoyes, Gandhi was successful against Great Britain. His believes on noncooperation nonviolence and civil disobedience made him successful but the main reason that he successful because the World War II are a good condition to demand their independence.
