Jon and Kate purchased their new home rather than building it. They decided to buy a ready-made property that suited their preferences and needs. This choice eliminated the time and effort required for the construction process. Buying a home offered them the advantage of moving in sooner and avoiding the potential challenges associated with construction, such as delays or unexpected costs. However, whether to buy or build depends on individual preferences, budget, and timeline.
When the sextuplets were first born, the Gosselins could barely afford a 12-pack of toilet paper rolls, but as you can see, that has changed. After the producers contacted the Gosselin family and the filming began, the show became Jon and Kate's job. Now, all their money has come from their show, books, speaking engagements and personal appearances. They live off that income. I have to say, it seems like the show provides them with a lot of money because they can afford countless vacations, the new house, all the clothes, two new puppies, many trips to the zoo and shows etc.
Most of their income in the past few years has come from the show (they are paid by TLC to do their life story, a reality show at $40,000 to $75,000 per episode, 37 episodes each season, two seasons a year...This year, they'll be earning roughly 4.5 million from the show). Some of their income has come from books, special appearances and endorsements...
The Duggars paid for their current home by saving and by choosing to train their family members to contribute to the construction. From the foundation up, members of the family worked side by side to complete their current home. The home was built from two commercial building packages that were adapted and combined to create the house.
The Gosselins bought their new home from another owner in 2008.
Either TLC or your Love Donations because they are poor :( Dang, I wish I was as poor as they where! $1.3 mil house, -sighs-

No they did not.Jon and Kate had planned this a long time before TLC even knew about it.The reason they were not moving away quickly is because they were saving money to get a lot of land.
