Did any prehistoric animals live in California?
Prehistory refers to anything that existed before writing. Hence, any animals that existed before local people had written records were prehistoric. The earliest writing developed in the Middle East 6,000 years ago, and shortly afterward in Egypt, followed by China, India, Greece, and Rome. Almost all of North America was prehistoric prior to the arrival of Columbus in 1492, and Australia was prehistoric until the arrival of the Dutch in the 1600's.
A modern animal cannot evolve into another modern animal. A wolf can't evolve into a whale like a monkey can't evolve into a human. However, animals have evolved from their prehistoric predecessors. For example, whales did not evolve from wolves or any mammals related to wolves. Whales are more closely related to prehistoric hoofed animals.
NO. I can think of 4 prehistoric creatures from the mississippi. firstly Zygorhiza, Durodon and basilosaurus are whales with limbs. and secondly teilnardina is the firs primate in North America a tiny little bush baby. obviously things like smilodon, dire wolves, mammoths and prehistoric bison lived in the whole of North America .
Define dinosaur. Dinosaurs were the dominant vertebrate animals of terrestrial ecosystems. Meaning they only lived in land. The ones that live in water are other reptiles but certainly they are not dinosaurs. There were numerous prehistoric reptiles that were aquatic, such as the ichthyosaurs, plesiosaurs and mosasaurs, that were alive during the time of dinosaurs.
They lived in cold weather, in the ice age, and when all the ice melted they couldn't survive any more. i believe that all the prehistoric animals were extinct by mosquitos, the aliens that were planing on cleaning up earth after the commit hit new that humans couldn't live here unless all the extinct animals of today were gone.
I will have a stab at answering this question. That there were prehistoric animals roaming the earth is a fact, cave drawings, bones and the Wooly Mammoth found in the ice. Why God put them on the earth and had them wiped out are best answered by Him. There would not have been any cohabitation with man for man would have wiped them out as soon as possible. God made them for His own pleasure…
