Make up was very simple in the 50's. Not a lot of colored eye shadows were used, mostly browns and natural skin tone colors. Colored eye shadows were saved for parties and special occasions, so they'd wear shades of blue and purple. So most of the time women would wear red and pink lipsticks, with a bit of blush for a natural girly glow (a lot of girls would just pinch their cheeks to make them pink), and winged eye liner was very popular, because it gave the illusion of longer lashes.

∙ 13y agomakeup in the 80's was heavy all over, heavy eyes, heavy cheeks, an heavy lips. it was all about bright! the blusher was in the hollows of the cheeks rather than on the apples an it was brought out to the back of the cheek near your hairline. the lips were very overdrawn.

and soft rose cheeks
Im a make up artist and did period make up from 20's to modern day. So that's the exact make up look for the 50's. Hope this helps :)
