you are both wrong it was highlighted orochimaru was in a weakened state and had to leave his body. also itachi did help sasuke as the dark mark was stil part of orochimaru as you saw in sasuke vs itachi and he drew orochimaru out of sasuke.

( it is unclear weather sasukes sharingan is eternal or not ) so then madara tells sasuke all of this and after a long time of thinking sasuke excepts the truth and falls into a deep hatred for the hidden leaf village for making his brother do such a horrible thing. and now sasuke wants to destroy the hiddden leaf village. and his group hawk has joined akutski and madara gives sasuke itachi's eyes so while sasuke is healing from the procedure madara & kabuto created the next ninja war & i believe that is where naruto & sasuke will have there final battle oh & btw naruto is training with bee to take control of the nine tails chakra just like bee

What happened with Sasuke?
so far sasuke joins orochimaru to gain power to defeat his brother itachi and get vengence for his family... after a few episodes sasuke kills orochimaru (right before orochimaru is ready to take sasuke's body) and absorbs his power gaining orochimaru's jutsu's... Sasuke eventually tracks down itachi and kills him only to find out from a still alive and evil madara uchiha (an ancient ancestor that vows vengence on the hidden leaf village) that itachi was put up to killing the uchiha clan by danzo (leader of the Anbu Black Ops foundation) and other hidden leaf superiors. Itachi left Sasuke alive not for future fights but for the fact that he couldn't bear to kill his innocent little brother. He also learns Itachi planned to let sasuke kill him and in return took away orochimaru's curse mark and gave him more sharingun powers. Sasuke then vows to destroy the hidden leaf and is now on a mission to do so. But Madara has chained Sasuke to the Akatsuki through a promise to help sasuke destroy the leaf. Sasuke just has to catch the eight tails which he fails to do. So he is then told to kill danzo ( who became hokage) and succeeds.

Along the line, Sasuke (stupidly) keeps Kabuto alive, which was a grave mistake, as Kabuto managed to fuse himself with Orochimaru and now he is running a full-blown war with the United Five Nations with "Madara" (who can no longer be validly known as Madara, as Madara is dead and revived as part of the Resurrection jutsu). In a nutshell, Orochimaru lives within Kabuto like Lord Voldemort lived within Harry Potter. Feel free to shudder.
