Do Australian Wii games work on UK Wii consoles?
Yes because they are both PAL. EU and Au is both PAL so they are both compatible .but remember USA is NTSC so PAL games wont work on NTSC.
No. US games are NTSC while Australian consoles only play PAL games. I think that Australian consoles should work with European, Indian, Chinese and Brazilian games but not American, Canadian or Japanese.
Yes, because both the UK and Australia use PAL.
the wii kind
Xbox games will not work on a Wii, and Wii games will not work on a Xbox. however, if you mod soft your wii, you can play games from old platforms.
nah soz. the wii region locked so you cant play games from different countries
No, Australian Wii games and North American Wii games have a different configuration and only work with their corresponding region.
No. As with most games consoles, the Wii is region restricted. UK consoles run on the PAL system and American consoles run on the system NTSC. Due to this American games wont work on a UK console and vica verca.
No, the Wii is region locked.
yes they do cause i got a wii in china. And i live in Australia
Wii games are region-locked, but the answer is yes because Europe and Australia are all counted as the same region. (PAL)
No. You need to buy UK games.
No they don't. Regions work on their own regions. Games bought in certain countries or regions will be restricted to only consoles bought in that region.
SORRY! Only American wii games work with American wiis. Unless hacking or modding works!
No, the Nintendo Wii is region locked so North American games will not work on an Australian console
No they will not but if you have it chiped they will
No because the wii is region locked. the US wii is NTSC while the EU wii is PAL. so it will not work, but Australian wii games work on the EU wii as they are both PAL.
Yes wii's are made in china and if austrailla has a wii its a good chance they would work
Yes. Games from these countries are from the PAL region and should work perfectly on either system.
I'd say because they're both made for the Wii
Just the first Nintendo Wii.
Bought some Wii games from a large retailer in Hong Kong They appear genuine but won't work on my Australian unit Is there anything I can do to make them work?
your wii reads Australian codes only, so get your wii a hong kong code from a wii chiper.
No, you cannot. Playstation games only work on the correct Playstation model. Wii games only work on the Wii. The same applies to other consoles. Placing the wrong disc into the wrong console can actually either scratch the disc badly or damage the lens inside the console.
UK wii but you are relocating to the US Will your Wii work there a with games you already own UK b with games you purchase in the US?
US games don't work with UK Wii consoles. Unless you use Freeloader then it's impossible. And if you do use Freeloader then you won't be able to update your Wii or it will stop working (The Freeloader). Hope this helped, and have a good life in the US :D
UK TV - Yes UK Games - No Result - You're gonna have to buy Wii games in Australia.
Only the Nintendo Wii can play Gamecube games. None of the Wii U models are capable of playing Gamecube games.
No. Only Games bought from the Uk can be played on a Uk wii console. You could crack it but afterwards the Wii would be like a brick.
obviously not two different consoles man
I think you are asking what Nintendo games from previous consoles can be played on the Wii console? Just GameCube games, there is a spot on top of the Wii for the GameCube controllers to plug in. You can also download the old games right to your Wii (via Internet and Nintendo Shop) and play them that way, but there are no spots for the old cartridges to be inserted on the Wii.
yes but the games you buy there wont, Australian wiis are PAL, whereas American and UK are NTSC
You want to buy a wii console from England of eBay But you know that Australian games wont work on the console if you buy games from England to play on Wii will they work in Australia?
I don't see why not. The Wii just needs to be plugged in, with the working games. I don't see how the outlets are any different from one another. If the games are meant for that Wii, then they should work. I'm not sure about Wi-Fi, though.
Of course not! Maybe there is a way you can hack it, but I don't know. All I know is, Wii is made by Nintendo and XBOX is Microsoft; two different companies, so I doubt it....
No. Black Wiis are the exact same as white ones. Wii U games can only be played on Wii U consoles exclusively.
No, you can't since the DS and the Wii are two different consoles.
The consoles that are used are the ps2, ps3, xbox 360 and live and wii
No, because you only can play on either a European wii or get an Australian wii game.
No it will not you can only play PAL games on a Australian wii console \
You can chat with anyone around the world if they have Wii-Speak and Wi-Fi connection ^_^ http://www.nintendo.com/wii/what/accessories/wiispeak/
In all honesty the only similarity they have is that they play video games. Sometimes they even have the same games on each platform. The Wii is played with a Wii Remote and a motion sensor and even has an adaptor for a classic controller or a GameCube controller whereas the PlayStation is played with a traditional controllor. The Wii is backwards compatible to the Game Cube and you are able to download old Nintendo… Read More
No, The two types of consoles have different region encoding. This is called Region Lockout (or Region Lock). They are incompatible. UK games will not work on a US wii. The UK use a PAL (Phase Alternating Line) system whereas the US use NTSC (National Television System Committee). There is a CD called Freeloader which should allow you to play games from different regions on your US wii. i.e JP and UK games will work… Read More
It depends on which games you are referring to. If you want to play Wii U games, then the Wii U is needed to play them. However, other video games that are not exclusive to the Wii U can be played on other consoles or systems.
All consoles except for the Wii.
No, the Nintendo Wii games are region locked so unless you have an unlocked Wii you will not be able to pay Asian Wii games on a European or American Wii.Even if you do get them unlocked,it willl be hard to understand the language they are speaking. or you could buy a mod chip such as a wii key ---- I don't know... but I would say yes. Don't pay too much attention to my… Read More
No. You need to get Australian games. yes u can
No the Xbox 360 can not play games from other consoles
No. Wii consoles are region locked. A Wii bought in North America can only play American NTSC format games.
All original Wii consoles (white colored) have the ability to play Gamecube games. Wii Family Edition cannot as well as colored variations of the Wii (Red, Blue, Black).
No, not without hacking it.
No, since both are two different consoles. The Wii cannot play Wii U games so you will need to buy a Nintendo Wii U to play Wii U games.
yes wii games work in Australia. But if you have a console from another country like the USA and you put in a Australian wii game then it won't work as different countries make them with a special system that only the games from there country works. Its the same thing if you did it the other way too. But sometimes some countries make it the same as others so they can both use the… Read More
No. Any game cartridges/disks that are made for a Nintendo console won't work on any other company's consoles. However, some Nintendo game cartridges/disks can work on multiple Nintendo consoles. Gamecube disks can be played on the Wii, Gameboy games can be played on the Gameboy Advance, and Gameboy Advance games can be played on the Nintendo Ds.
