Religious priest primarily belong to a religious Order or Monastery and receive no salary, although if their Order or Monastery sends them to work somewhere, like a diocese or institution, then they would earn a salary, but it would go directly to the Order or Monastery which would give the priest a stipend to cover living expenses.
