Citizens have the Freedom of Gun
A gun.
Gun control refers to laws and regualtions that limit ownership, carrying and usage of firearms. Gun rights refers to the opposite- of the right of people to own firearms.
Conservatives tend to represent the right of the spectrum, favor small government, and support certain individual rights, such as gun ownership.
Laws on private gun ownership there are very restrictive. Private citizens may not own long guns, and a permit is required to own a handgun. Egypt is about 341st in private ownership of guns.
The way I understand this question - you are asking about getting your gun rights restored so that you can get a job carrying a gun in Georgia??? If that is the case, you had better check closer with GA authorities - altho you MIGHT be able to have your felony expunged and your gun ownership rights restored, I SERIOUSLY doubt that you would ever be able to get a license to carry a gun for employment.
It depends on where you live. In the USa, a citizen can have whatever they like; in some Commonwealth countries ownership is restricted to weapons that are of civilian style and not military; in others gun ownership is restricted to the point of virtual nonexistence.
Obviously not. Restrictions on military weapons such as cannons, machine guns and RPG's are not prevented by the Bill of Rights. Also, gun control against felons and in various locations are not prevented by the Bill of Rights (try to carry a .45 on an airplane). What the Bill of Rights does prevent is the arbitrary prohibition of private gun possession.
For much the same reasons that citizens can own property.
You do not say adjudicated for what. Assuming it is either a felony or a domestic violence crime, gun rights are not restored unless the person's general civil rights are restored through either an expungement or a pardon. The process varies from state to state and is required before federal prohibitions on gun ownership are lifted. For more information see the related link below.
There does appear to be one. It is an INVERSE correlation. As the rate of gun ownership INCREASES, the rate of violent crime DECREASES.
The 2nd Amendment of the United States Constitution applies to the right of individuals to bear arms. It protects the right of citizens to own and carry firearms for self-defense and other lawful purposes. However, the scope and interpretation of this amendment have been the subject of ongoing debate and legal discussion.
