This question is rather ambiguous. If you mean do we take everything as literal, No. The Bible itself makes it clear that some parts are symbolic. Note for example Revelation 1:1 - "A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place. And he sent forth his angel and presented it in signs through him to his slave John." Parts of it are can be seen to be symbolic by the context, such as the beasts mentioned in Daniel & Revelation. Some parts considered as allegory by others are considered as literal by Jehovah's Witnesses because they are considered literal by our leader Jesus Christ, as well as other inspired persons. Many people for example consider the creation and the flood accounts as allegories; we do not because Jesus and others did not. (Matthew 19:4; 24:37-39; 1 Peter 3:20; 2 Peter 2:5)

No not that literally anyway if they did they would be like all the other religions out there it also depends on what bible you're talking about. Jehovah's witness's read from the New world Translation. The bible is much like a map or so to speak some people cannot read it without taking it the wrong way but that is why Jehovah's witness's have other literatures to help them understand the bible easier.

Why do Jehovah's Witnesses take everything literally?

Jehovah's Witnesses do not take everything literally. In bible interpretation as well as in everyday life Jehovah's Witnesses are aware of (and recognise) metaphor, similies, symbolism as well as the non literal nature of the lanugage of many visions, dreams and prophecies. They believe the bible contains examples of all the above but that it remains the word of God.

Do Jehovahs witnesses prey on troubled youth?

This is such a ridiculous question, I am not sure it deserves a response. Alll I can say is, "WHAT?" ANSWER Jehovah's Witnesses do not "prey" on anyone. The word is heavily negative and implies that Jehovah's witnesses systematically take advantage of and harm young people. This is far from the truth. Firstly, Jehovah's Witnesses to not 'target' any age group, nation or race. They preach to everyone, in every home, in every street all over the world. Secondly, their message is not harmful. They teach the bible and encourage all to put the bible into practice. So, no Jehovah's Witnesses do not "prey" on anyone.

Because they are the people who use the Bible and its teachings and ether take them too literally or distort them and use them as a propaganda tool. This goes to show that The Holy Bible should not be taken too literally, and to take its teachings as ones of love, tolerance, and belonging.

Where does it say in the bible about transubstantiation?

The bible does not discuss "transubstantiation." It is a theological view of the catholics. They take the idea from Matthew 26:26 where Jesus gave them bread saying "this is my body." They take that idea literally where protestants tend to take it as a symbol of his body.
