Of course not. If no US politician could go against the Israel lobby, how did Jimmy Carter oppose the policies of the then Begin government? How did the George H.W. Bush go against the policies of the then Shamir government?

Yes, there is a great deal of sympathy for Israel's cause among American citizens, and this is reflected by America's pro-Israel foreign policy. (See link by the Pew Research Center on US citizens support for Israel).

Israel's economy is less than 1/50 the size of the USA's; it is ludicrous to suggest that Israel could control the US.

Absolutely not. Jews make up perhaps 3-4% of the United States, and while many have become distinguished in fields like medicine, law, and entertainment, there is no credible evidence that they "control" anything. Sadly, this is a very old myth, and over the centuries, it has been applied to a number of countries. whenever dictators or autocratic rules wanted to distract people by finding a scapegoat for the country's problems.

No. This a common Anti-Semitic canard. There is this view that Jews, who form a minority of the United States (roughly 2% of US Americans), exercise dominance and control over the majority of Americans. This is not the case. While it is the case that Jews are overrepresented in government and economic fields, they are nowhere near the majority, nor are they in the most powerful positions. One particular example of this is the view that Jews control the banks. Most banks are NOT chaired or owned or controlled by Jews; many banks operate independently or are controlled by Non-Jews. For example the Big Four US Banks are all run by Non-Jews: Jaime Dimon (JP Morgan Chase), Chad Holliday (Bank of America), Michael O'Neill (Citigroup), and John Stumpf (Wells Fargo).

There is also an implicit assumption here which should be fleshed out: the idea that Jews naturally in are some sort of cabal where they all agree with each other about how politics should be run. This is also patently false. Liberal Jews tend to vote Democrat, Orthodox Jews tend to vote Republican, just as one example. Even there, there are minorities in each camp that vote the other way. Jews even have a saying that "With two Jews, you have three opinions." Political agreement within Judaism is practically impossible.

Just as a final note, the most powerful ethnic group in the United States has always been White Anglo-Saxon Protestants, but even they are incapable of complete dominance or control.
