Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) read whatever they want - novels, textbooks, magazines, newspapers... whatever interests them. The are encouraged to avoid reading material with inappropriate themes (like paperback romance novels or pornographic magazines). Mormons are also encouraged to read scripture daily. They use the King James Version of the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price as scripture. They also read sermons and articles written by modern Church leaders.
