No, they do not. Adventists believe that when someone dies, his body turns to dust from which he was created (Gen 2:7) and soul returns to God who gave it (same verse). That person will be resurrected on the day when God will judge him. Period between death and resurrection will be as a sleep to the person that died.

Seventh-day Adventists believe in annihilationism. This means that the wicked, after the millenium, will be consumed by fire and eventually cease to exist. They do not believe that the wicked will be eternally burned by fire forever in a "place" called hell.

If you are referring to Heaven, then yes, we do :0) However we do not believe in Limbo/purgatory or Hell. No where in The Bible does is state that these 2 places exist, but the Bible DOES give many references to Heaven :0)

No, Jehovah's Witnesses believe that when a person dies it is like unplugging a lamp. The person's body becomes inert until or unless God decides to reactivate them.

Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in Purgatory the belief that a state or place or condition in the next world where the souls of those who die in the state of grace, but not yet free from all imperfection, make expiation for unforgiving venial sins or for the temporal punishment due to venial and mortal sins that have already been forgiven and by so doing, are purified before they enter into heaven. "New Catholic Encyclopedia 1967 Vol.XI, p. 1034) Not a Bible teaching After reviewing what Catholic writers have said regarding such texts as 2 Maccaabees 12:39-45,Matthew 12:32, and 1 Corinthians 3:10-15, the New Catholic Encyclopedia (1967, Vol XI p. 1034) acknowledges: "In the final analysis , the Catholic doctrine on purgatory is based on tradition, not Sacred Scripture.

"The church has relied on tradition to support a middle ground between heaven an hell." U.S. Catholic, March 1981, p.7

The Bible says at Psalms 146:4 "His spirit goes out, he returns to the ground, on that very day his thoughts do perish."

Ecclesiastes 9:5,10 "The living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing at all. ..."

John 11:11,13,14 "Lazarus our friend has fallen asleep, but I am traveling there to awaken him. Jesus however, had spoken about his death. But they had imagined he was speaking about taking rest in sleep. Then Jesus said to them plainly: Lazarus has died." see jw.org for further information and what the Bible truly teaches.
