Reese's Pieces candy contains trace amounts of milk. It's such a small amount that it may just be leftover bits of milk from other stuff that gets left in the manufacturing equipment (as it's difficult to clean it all perfectly). Some vegans don't care about equipment residues and thus would be okay with eating the candy. However, due to the trace amounts, the product is technically NOT vegan.
