Yes, cats can have memory problems, usually caused by old age, genetics or other outside situations. I know of a cat who has memory problems because she has always been feed dog food, even as a baby. Dog food does not have the right kind of nutrition and now she has brain problems incudling memory loss. Also if a cat gets really old they can experience slight memory loss.

It depends on the experience they are to remember. Just like human babies, kittens will most likely remember a traumatic experience. Their memory not be very detailed, but they will most likely remember a certain feeling or something. However, young creatures will probably not remember if you forget to feed them at dinner time once.

They possibly can, but it takes a very long time. Cats develop a true bond with their owners ... well, actually they "own" us, not the other way around.
