if you consider the spine one bone, then one otherwise the answer it a lot. It depends on the cat, some cats have a puff of harir for a tail others have no tail at all. The tail is a continuation of the spine.

About 10% of their bones are in their tails, and it is not known exactly whether they have 230 in all or whether they start out with 245 and some fuse together. So if the 10% thing is still correct, then cats have about 23-24.5 bones in their tails. Hope this helped. :)
Between 14 and 28 bones are in the cat's tail.
