Do citric foods such as lime and lemon and spicy foods such as tabasco sauce or jalapeno peppers help to burn fat?

No. Weight reduction is based on how much you eat, and how much exercise you perform. Reduced calorie intake (less food eaten) combined with more exercise, equals weight loss. There is no other way to do it. This is not really a black and white YES/NO answer. It has been proven that eating chilli or spicy foods will actually raise your metabolism temporarily helping you to burn more calories. Im not too sure about the lemon and lime thing, although I know boxers eat limes when they are trying to reduce their body weight in order to hit their weight catagories. Possibly something in them that prevents the absorption of fats?
