The short answer is yes, however you don't say what year Vette seats. I put 86 vette seats in my 71. Regardless, the brackets have to be fabbed, it's not a direct bolt in deal. Power has to be ran if you want to adjust them. As well as the switch being mounted somewhere. I'm not sure how a power seat would fit in a 79 with the cat hump in the floor. You'd have to take some measurements, and may have to raise the seat up for the power unit to clear it.
The 86 seats were a great fit in my 71, same back height, relatively same side profile and seat depth. They were a little bit narrower than the stock seats, which was nice. The power seats do sit around 2 inches higher over the front bolster (with the brackets mounted flat to the floor), but that hasn't been too much of an issue. Huge difference in comfort and support.

Not really anything. The seats wont fit, tried first hand. The only thing i can think of is the rims, the motor, and the tranny with the matching drive shaft.
