Honestly, it depends on the personality. If you are thinking of adopting a German Shepherd, I would say yes. If you have a happy go lucky dog, probably not. If you have a shy dog, or a aggressive dog, it may have an enemy or two.

Apart from other dogs, I would say no. Unless you count bad ownership, in not correctly socialising and training the dog. Also vehicles if the dog is allowed to roam.
