Do all girls have pubic hair?

Yes. It is the first stage of puberty in girls. It appears in a girl's pubic area (V-shaped patch of skin between hip bones and legs) and vulva (folds of skin and tissue between legs). Before puberty begins, there are can be no hair at all, or a few light, short hairs. Once puberty starts, hair begins to grow and darken. Sometimes it can be the same color of the hair on a girl's head, other times it may not. Over time, the hair grows in more thickly and starts to become curly and coarse, forming a triangular patch. As a girl grows older, the hair may spread down to onto the tops of her inner thighs or have a narrow line of hair trail up to the belly button.
