Echidnas lay their egg directly into a pouch (really just a flap of skin) which they develop only during breeding season.
Platypuses lay their eggs in a chamber at the end of a burrow dug into the side of a riverbank or creekbank.

∙ 8y agoTechnically as far as I know there is only 1 mammal that lays eggs and that is the Buck-Billed Platypus which lays it's eggs in a hole in the ground. The rest of the mammal family give birth to live young not through eggs
