From what i have just read yes meglodons are extinct. There is also alot of speculation about when they went extinct some think 10000 years ago others reckon alot longer. Either way how cool would it be to find a group of them they are awesome...............
Currently there is no definative proof that a meg has survived in present times, though there are many scientists who believe the possibility is very real. There are also many sightings that have occured over the years of sharks far larger that any known species. The "Bloop" sound is something many cryptozoologists and scientists believe may indicate the presence of a surviving megalodon. Naval sonar reported a target of something very much alive which measured between 80-100 feet in length, much larger that even the blue whale. An expert aboard the ship insists it was a giant shark. In my opinion, the possibility is very high, as we have barely scratched the surface when it comes to exploring the worlds oceans.
no, they died in the ice age a long time ago.
Absolutely no. Megalodon died out a long time ago in the Pliocene period.
No, Megaladon sharks became extinct many, many years ago.
No, they are extinct.
i think the last time that the megalodon was seen was in 2010 because the scientist think that the megalodon shark is still alive in some research and do you think the megalodon shark is still alive?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
no, but they are searching for the fossil
It's real, but extinct.
The megalodon is only known from fossilized teeth. They date from 25 to 2 million years ago. Megalodon died out during the early Quaternary period of the Cenozoic era.
no it died out ages ago
Nobody knows,but i think so.
the odds are is no but you never no
Some people say megalodon died because of the food shortage in the ice age when whales and other food went to colder areas where megalodon coudn't follow but i believe it's still out there
The megalodon went extinct (the exact timeperiod is still in discussion today), but it was far enough back that it did not cause the sinking of the Titanic.
No, the megalodon no longer exists. This giant shark became extinct approximately 1.5 million years ago. There are some who believe that this prehistoric creature still exists, but there is absolutely no scientific basis for this belief. Those who claim the megalodon still roams the seas can be categorized among those who also believe in Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, and the Yeti.
The megalodon shark.
