Plants can helped slow down global warming by a method known as Carbon offset. Carbon offset is the act of mitigating greenhouse gas emissions. Carbon dioxide is one of the greenhouse gas that is rising in level, trapping more heats and escalating global warming. Forests around the world were cleared at an alarming pace, leading to global warming. So to answer your question, yes, it can help to 'cure' global warming by reducing the amount of greenhouse gases. plants will only reduce carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. And if it is very effective, then we will still have methane and nitrous oxide left in our atmosphere.

No - they actually counter the effects of global warming by soaking up carbon dioxide, however when these same plants (Particularly trees) are cut down and burnt the soaked up carbons dioxides are released into the atmosphere, this is the indirect relation that plants have on global warming. It is suspected that deforestation may be having a greater effect on global climate and CO2 levels than all the cars in the world combined.

Plants and any growing vegetation remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through photosynthesis. This carbon is stored in the plants and trees. Any removal of greenhouse gases from the atmosphere slows global warming a little.

While plants take in carbon dioxide during the day, at night they also reverse this cycle and release CO2. The net effect is that they absorb more CO2 than they release. As part of the natural cycle of life they will also release their CO2 back into the air once they die and decompose. Plants don't stop global warming per se, but with higher temperatures and CO2 levels, they along with algae in the sea thrive and absorb large quantities of CO2.

Forests have the effects of helping the greenhouse by cooling the air through a process of evapo-tranpiration; Plants reduce air pollutants (including carbon dioxide [CO2], a known greenhouse gas) through photosynthesis; and their dark dense leaves absorb sunlight that warms the planet.

Trees help to defend our planet against global warming. Rainforests, in fact all forests and vegetation, absorb CO2 in a process called carbon sequestering. They store the carbon in their roots, branches, trunks and leaves, till they die. This helps remove greenhouse gases from the air and slows down global warming.

The forests farther away from the equator trap heat in their dense canopies, raising temperatures. This is known as the albedo effect.

While supporting forestry projects remains a popular carbon offsetting option, it's important to be smart about which programs you back: Helping to mitigate the effects of tropical deforestation is a sound choice. And you can't go wrong when you keep your community green and beautiful by planting saplings around your neighborhood.

It's always admirable to choose to make your life greener -- especially when you do a little research beforehand. Each step we take as individuals, no matter how small, helps add up to a healthier planet.

A:When photosynthesis occurs, a plant takes in carbon dioxide and releases oxygen. Carbon dioxide pollutes the air and oxygen makes it easier to breathe. Global warming is occurring because too much CO2 (carbon dioxide) has gotten into our atmosphere, but plants can help reduce this CO2. Plants take in the CO2 and releases oxygen for humans and other animals to breathe.

Plants are able to take part in a process called photosynthesis, which involves plant cells to take in water, carbon dioxide and sunlight to provide oxygen and energy. This is vital role as plants can help even various amounts of carbon dioxide , which is a greenhouse gas hence contributing to global warming. With less greenhouse gases, our atmosphere is able to emit this harmful gases out as radiation. Yes, more trees do indeed lessen global warming, however would not stop it, for one thing burning trees is not only a depleting resource but also releases carbon dioxide to the atmosphere.

How do plants help prevent global warming?

Plants and any growing vegetation remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through photosynthesis. This carbon is stored in the plants and trees. Any removal of greenhouse gases from the atmosphere slows global warming a little.

Why plants are good for the environment and how do they prevent global warming?

Plants are good for the environment for many reasons. The fact that the prevent global warming is just one of them. Other reasons include giving animals homes and food. Plants prevent global warming because they use Carbon Dioxide to make energy for themselves. Carbon Dioxide is a greenhouse gas, which means that it helps trap heat from the Sun in the Earth. This is a good thing, since Earth would be very cold if there were no greenhouse gases, but global warming is caused by there being too many greenhouse gases, which make it too hard for the Earth to cool off naturally. Plants help prevent global warming because they take Carbon Dioxide out of the air.

How does photosynthesis help prevent global warm?

Photosynthesis means plants converting carbon dioxide to oxygen, most global warming is cause by carbon dioxide, people only breath oxygen (and water vapor) and carbon dioxide can't get to our lungs. That's why Photosynthesis helps prevent global warming.

How do plants increase global warming?

Plants don't increase global warming. In fact, they do the opposite.Plants, trees and all vegetation reduce the effect of global warming by removing from the atmosphere these gases like carbon dioxide and storing the carbon in their trunks and branches. They help to reduce global warming.

Can plants help improve your ozone layer?

Plats reduce global warming and since global warming is related to ozone depletion. Thus plants improve ozone depletion.

What is being done to solve the problem Are there laws relate to Global warming?

Gas emission laws are put into place to help prevent global warming.

Can plants help global warming?

Yes, plants absorb carbon dioxide which is increasing in the atmosphere.

Are plants reducing global warming?

Plants reduce carbon dioxide, because they absorb carbon and release oxygen. Yes, they help reduce global warming, because excess carbon dioxide emissions increase the green house effect and global warming. Plants in total consume a small percentage of the carbon dioxide, a known minor contributor to global warming. The bottom line is that plants are a small carbon sink.

What to put on a pamphlet on global warming?

How does photosynthesis and cellular respiration relate to global warming?

well it is said that plants can help stop global warming. So, they have photosynthesis and do cellular respiration to take in carbon dioxide and make it oxygen. global warming has to do with carbon dioxide. there you go! :)

Plants help reverse the effects of global warming by removing what chemical from the atmosphere?

Plants remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

Do greenhouse gasses help global warming?

They don't help with global warming naturally but the large buildup of greenhouse gases does assist with global warming.
