Depends on the snake. Typically those snakes that are very large and use crushing power (like a boa constrictor, a python or an anaconda) can kill a human by wrapping itself around the chest or neck and squeezing. Also, those venomous snakes (especially the young ones) including rattlesnakes, cobras, asps and adders are more than capable of killing a human with their venom.
Western diamondback rattlesnakes kill people almost everyday. Spitting cobras can bite and dig a hole in you and spit venom in the bite and kill easily. Carpet vipers venom hurts the worst out of all of the venomous snakes, but the western diamondback rattlesnake is the most deadliest and venomous snake in the world and the western diamondback rattlesnake is a killer.
if you are asking if all snakes are poisonous, the answer is no. there are many that are and many more that aren't.
Unless you are allergic to them, no. If they have poisonous venom then yes. But certain measures can be taken to prevent death.
No. some snakes dont have poisons/venom. Some only bite you for entering their territory. You can check their skin color if they have venom. check wikipedia.

King snakes are essentially constrictors, which kill their prey by suffocating them. The modus operandi of a king snake is to first bite the victim ( a rattle snake) and then rapidly throw coils around the anterior body of the rattle snake, tightening them continuously so that the rattle snake is not able to breathe. The king snake maintains this tight coil until the rattler is dead. It then releass the coil, uses its forked tongue (and Jacobson's organ) to find the rattler's head and proceeds to swallow the prey. During this process, even if the king snake is bitten by the rattler, it does not matter as the king snake is immune to the venom of its prey.
is a rat snake able to kill a copperhead and rattlesnake
One snake was called a "Two-step" by GI's, because the word was you could only walk two steps after being bitten before you died. This may have been a myth to keep GI's alert in the bush, because there are no known snakes in the world that can kill that fast. We know it as a coral snake. The fastest known killer, Africa's Black Mamba, can kill in about 2-1/2 minutes if bitten directly into a major artery or vein that goes straight to the heart. Anyways, the Coral snake are a large group of elapid snakes that can be subdivided into two distinct groups, Old World coral snakes and New World coral snakes. Red on yellow is the term that the snake is real and red on black is a snake that looks like a coral snakes.
Yes it can. It takes 20 seconds to kill you
No, a poisonous snake bite can be deadly even if bitten shallow on the skin.
Yes! A deadly snake's venom can kill all most any thing even its own kind.

If you get bitten by a King Snake, don't panic. Rub alcohol on it. It might burn after a while because the King Snake's saliva will start breaking down your skin. That's why you would want to wash it off asap. It wont kill you. They have no venom.
some snakes nothing. some snakes can kill unless treated immediatly. squeeze around the bitten area so that the poison doesnt get around the body.
When the mongoose eats and kills the snake, it knows to stay away from it's head, (Where the venom sack's are), and eat the rest of the body where none of the venom is. If the mongoose is bitten by the snake though, the snake will inject the venom through it's fangs, from the venom sacks, thus killing the mongoose.
Cleopatra used some type of poison to kill herself. There is a story about her being bitten by a snake, but that is only a myth actually conjured up by Octavian himself.
Absolutely. It depends entirely on what kind of snake it is. Non-venomous snake-bites only require the wound cleaning with anti-septic. Even venomous bites are not always fatal. Some people can survive being bitten by venomous snakes - again - it depends what snake it was. Not all venomous snakes (a) deliver enough venom and (b) have enough potentency in the venom to to kill a person.
Its debatable, she was definitely killed by a snake bite, but whether she wanted to be bitten (suicide) or if it was and accident or if someone else meant for it to kill her is unknown and probably always will be.
I would kill a snake.
It depends on the type of snake. The majority of snakes are not venomous and a bite would not be life-threatening to a cat. A few are venomous and their bites can be life-threatening. If your cat is bitten and the snake is not venomous or you are not sure, take it to the vet immediately.
