In a sense. The average life of a taste bud is about 10 days but those are replaced by new ones constantly. Strangely enough, the higher your altitude the less sensitive your taste buds. Also, as you age your taste buds become less sensitive requiring more seasoning.

Aparently most taste buds possessed a taste pore after you are 2 months old. The decrease in the number of taste buds in the oral cavity with increase in age might change taste sensitivity.

Your body chemistry naturally changes about every seven years. This probably plays a large role as to why your taste buds change as you get older.

taste buds do not change over time they simply lose the ability of picking up flavour. gradually as you age they simply drop off.
