Although most Indians are Hindus or Muslims they celebrate Christmas along with the New Year in night long celebrations. About 1.3% of the population is Christian and decorate the Christmas tree like all others do. However, most view the Christmas Tree as a cultural and religious practice, both by the Catholics and the protestant Christians.
