You don't have to wipe it for them, they just go to the bathroom then walk off. Disgusting right!
Instead of "picking it out" use a damp wash cloth and wipe it off until it comes off.
There is no reason to bathe a chick. If they are matted with left over material from inside the shell after several days they can be gently cleaned with a damp cloth. Older birds who get into something around the farmyard can be encouraged to bathe in sand by providing a bag of play sand in their area. Fluids from farm machinery can be spot cleaned with a mild soap and water solution again applied with a damp, not wet cloth. Oils produced naturally by the birds will take care of any dirt along with normal preening and dust baths.
They will hatch if touched by bare hands. We raised what is now called "free range" chickens when I was growing up on the farm. I gather my eggs by hand every day and keep select ones to place under my hens when they become broody. So every one has been handled by hand several times before setting them. Just make sure that your hands are clean and clean the eggs if they are soiled by wiping with a damp cloth and allowing to dry. Store the eggs you want to hatch with the large end up in an egg carton at room temperature.
A warm damp washing cloth can be applied to the chicks bottom to loosen the manure. This is a common condition in new chicks. Allowing them to free feed on chick grit may help them to digest the food better and avoid pasty butt.
Bunnies should not be given baths. Like cats they clean themselves constantly by licking their fur (ever see your bunny wash it's ears?). Getting them wet is unnecessary and will only cause them a great deal of stress. If they have gotten into something they should not have you can spot clean them with a damp cloth.
Wiping them down with a damp cloth is about all you have to do.
If a gold plated chandelier is coated in black soot from a fire, start by wiping down the chandelier with a soft, damp cloth. To get more stubborn areas clean, make a paste with baking soda and water and rub on with a damp cloth. Rinse off with a damp, clean cloth.
A damp cloth is a piece of cloth that is slightly wet.
no but you can with a warm shallow dish (or tub) and then with a wash cloth get it damp and put a little kitten shampoo on it then gently rub on the lower 3/4ths on the rats body and rinse with a fresh cloth wiping off the shampoo if they smell.
