Turtles can live together. They won't hurt each other. Uusually, they do not live together as a family. Obviously, they see (or live together long enough) another turtle at least once in a while or we'd have no turtles at all.
From my experience and knowledge, turtles live in North, Central, and South America. I am confident they live off of other continents as well.
