Vampires cannot love. Early writings of vampires tell us that vampires were incapable of love after becoming a vampire, but a vampire retains a longing for the people they loved prior to their transformation. This makes loved ones of the person some of the first people the vampire will visit.
In Ernest Jones' "On the Nightmare," Jones details the psychology of vampires and the changes they undergo when a person becomes a vampire. Vampires possess no fear due to their immortality and powers, even when faced with an object that can bring them harm, such as holy water, a crucifix or a stake being used by a person willing to kill the vampire who the vampire had loved as a mortal. This had caused much confusion as vampires have been attributed with fleeing from such a scenario, though Jones explains the vampires flee due to their intelligence, not fear, and such situations are a literal example of the idea of fight or flight.
Jones goes on to say that fear is replaced by desire, with lust being the most prominent desire. This is evidenced by Dracula having 3 different wives at once and further evidenced by a vampire's tendency to hypnotize a victim into having sexual relations.
Yes, vampires in fiction can fall in love just like humans. While their immortality and unique characteristics may add complexities to relationships, many vampire stories explore themes of love, passion, and longing.
hi Mia ere 2k9
hi Danielle and vicky you are probably reading this in class with me lol soo hi.
i told you that i would write this vicky hehe!:D
A vampire is very much the person he was when he died and, on a emotional level, is incapable of great change. So if he was a gregarious, co-habitational type person when he died he will be inclined to continue to be so after he is dead (and a vampire). Vampires have been known to father children with their widows. This is an ancient fact not some modern-day, Hollywood type embellishment. Haven't heard of a female vampire having a child so don't know if they are capable of that but I rather doubt it. And if a female vampire cannot have children then a couple of vampire couldn't regardless of the males fertility.
As far as living together. Count Dracula had three brides and sought another in Lucy Westenra but was disappointed in this by Dr. Van Helsing. Count Orlock was seduced by Helen Hutter - to his final demise. Visjeld Noradual kept a concubine of five female thralls, whom he released with rather obvious shows of affection when he went to his final death. Vampirella has had a number of male companions in the course of her unending adventures. Courtesan Philippian has 'entertained' a large number of sofisticated young men.
Well, when they are really, purely lesbian, then i think yes.
are you talking about Carmilla, in J.S. le Fanu's book? she is lesbian but i dont think she falls in love with her female victims.
Vampires are mythical creatures. Fiction. Just a story. Understand? If you want them to fall in love with their creator, then make up that part of the story to fit. If enough people like your version, then it will eventually become part of the myth. Understand? Oh dear God!
Count Dracula had three vampire brides --- but the relationship between them seemed to be something other than romantic love.
Vampires, being mythical creatures, can do whatever you can imagine them doing.
yup. vampires do feel love; just like humans but they feel it differently. it depends.
In twilight its vamp boy loves human girl. And it's the same for probably every vampire/human love book.
yes what the heck
I suppose so. Love does not discriminate.
You can fall in love with a vampire becuase, vampires are real. Sadly there are a lot of people who are attracted to the 'bad boy' or 'Vixen' personality. Vampires tend to have this appeal.
Vampires or Vampyres are fictional creatures,,, so,,, No. But hypothetically, it depends upon the genus. Which would you like to believe? Hope this helps.
They suck their blood by sinking their fangs in a person's skin, control them with their minds, or fall in love with them.
If the author writes that into the story then yes. However a different author may disagree.
When does she say that? I doubt it though... Emmett's her mate and when vampires fall in love, they never fall out of love. So why would she give him up?
no they can kill u because i was in my woods and i saw one and it saw me and it almost attacked me im not lying
This, like many questions about vampires, really depends on two things: 1) What you believe. If you believe in vampires, then you can believe that they have soul mates. And if you believe that they have soul mates, then there you go. 2) What vampire stories you've read. Some vampire stories depict vampires as heartless monsters, incapable of love. Others, however, say that vampires do indeed fall in love, and even have soul mates.
love bites are related to vampires, but vampires arent real
yes humans can because vampires are not human they have ability to draw a human in they look like an angel and you think there the most wonderful thing they smell good people are vary attracted to them
Vampires don't exist.
Not all vampires are - I'm a vampire and I love the colour pink!
