I live in Tennessee and I have been researching this online and found a huge mix of answers so hopefully this will help someone. I do have an active warrant and finally decided to just go and get the ID, if they arrested me then so be it. I couldn't find any real answers online and I was just fed up. I went today, got the ID, and had NO PROBLEM at all. So all of the people out there saying yes they do....or the "law enforcement" people on here......they did not do anything at the Tennessee DMV. Anyone with a warrant knows they need to clear it up so people can stop posting that as a response as well. Hopefully this will help someone out there because I couldn't find any answers at all.

They DO have the capability to do so. If your name and ID get "run" for most anything these days (drivers license - drivers record - traffic stop - juror check - etc) if the warrant was entired into the state or national system, you could show up as wanted.

Yes it shows up on background check if you were arrested for not going to courtfor your tickets. If they finger printed you it will show on record.Added; I doubt that they will be criminal warrants and therefore probably, in all likliehood, will not show up. However - - you should be aware that the outstanding tickets MAY affect your drivers license. The DMV MAY suspend your license due to unpaid traffic violations.

i just called and they said they don't even check for warrants, the guy told me they don't have anything to do with the police unless you are trying to get a license, and you have a warrant from a traffic ticket,although i would not try to get your license with a warrant or you will probably get caught

Generally speaking, you only have one drivers license. It is illegal to hold more than one drivers license in most states. So when an officer conducts a drivers license check, he will only check the drivers license that he is holding in his hand. However, the officer may be able to see a driving history from other states, particularly in the past 5 to 7 years, which will aid him in deciding how to handle your case, especially if you decide to take the ticket to court. Naturally, the officer will see any suspensions you might have, any DUIs if applicable, and of course, any warrants that have been issued for your arrest.
Will an unconvicted DUI come upon checking of drivers license?
It will not show up on a regular drivers license check but if the officer runs a criminal history check it will show that you were arrested for the offense but not convicted.
